Ivan Wan
Head of Corporate ActuarialHSBC Life (International) Ltd
Ivan is a qualified actuary with nearly 20 years’ experience in life insurance. He is currently Head of Corporate Actuarial for HSBC Life (International) Ltd, leading the actuarial function to provide professional advice and solutions to senior management in line with company’s strategy and risk appetite statement, as well as overseeing the asset liability and capital management, financial and regulatory reporting.
Prior to joining HSBC Life, Ivan worked for a number of well-known insurance firms in HK including Hang Sang Insurance, supporting the implementation and transition of IFRS 17 reporting, and the consultation of new risk-based capital regime for Hong Kong and Bermuda. He holds degrees in Commerce (Actuarial Science) from University of Melbourne, Australia.
Outside of work, Ivan enjoys taking his dogs exploring places. He loves watching football and is a big fan of Liverpool in the Premier League.
