This award recognizes a property/casualty insurer, or an organization focused on the property/casualty market, that has demonstrated a truly groundbreaking innovation that can be used for the betterment of society. The innovation can relate to a product, process, model, distribution channel, partnership, or initiative that expands or enhances the value, accessibility or impact of insurance.Life/Health/Retirement:
This award acknowledges a life and retirement insurer, or an organization focused on the life, health and retirement market, that has demonstrated a truly groundbreaking innovation that can be used for the betterment of society. The innovation can relate to a product, process, model, distribution channel, partnership, or initiative that expands or enhances the value, accessibility or impact of insurance.Predict & Prevent:
This award recognizes an insurtech that has leveraged technology to further societal resilience. The innovation can relate to a product, process, model, distribution channel, partnership, or initiative that expands or enhances the value, accessibility or impact of insurance.In your application, focus on the following:
- Briefly describe your company and project (5,000 characters or less), highlighting the scope, goals, and the specific problems your innovation solves.
- Summarize the innovation's impact, creativity, and learnings (5,000 characters or less). Emphasize how it can be scaled globally and how it serves for the betterment of society.
- Provide measurable results that demonstrate the effectiveness of your innovation. Show tangible outcomes and the positive changes it has brought.
- Support your nomination with relevant materials, such as videos, photos, testimonials, presentations, media coverage, and case studies.
- THERE IS NO SUBMISSION FEE. HOWEVER, WINNERS ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND AND PRESENT AT THE GLOBAL INSURANCE FORUM ON NOV. 15-16, 2026, AT THE ICONIC LLOYD’S BUILDING IN LONDON, UK AT THE PREVAILING RATE.
- ALL FINALISTS ARE REQUIRED TO SUBMIT A 2-MINUTE PITCH VIDEO USING OUR VIDEO PLATFORM. THE FINAL WINNER WILL BE DETERMINED THROUGH A VIEWER'S CHOICE VOTE.
- WINNERS ARE REQUIRED TO APPOINT AN EXECUTIVE REPRESENTATIVE TO PARTICIPATE IN A VIDEO INTERVIEW (TO BE SCHEDULED COLLABORATIVELY).
The submission deadline will be provided soon for 2026.
Any individual, team, or company can nominate an organization with the permission of the nominated company. The nominated company must be an insurance carrier or Insurtech organization.
There are no entry fees for submissions. However, winners are required to attend and present at the Global Insurance Forum to register a representative to attend the Global Insurance Forum in Nov. 15–16, 2026, at the iconic Lloyd’s Building in London, UK at the prevailing rate. Registration rates vary from $2400 - $3500 USD with reduced rates extended to IIS Members as well as discounted access for early registrations.
Applications may be used to promote the program and encourage learnings from other organizations.
Winning an IIS Global Innovation Award is a great honor. The IIS will provide marketing copy and social assets to assist the winners PR efforts. In addition, winners are required to participate in a video interview (to be scheduled collaboratively).
There is no requirement that nominators or nominees be an International Insurance Society member.
Yes, an organization can submit multiple nominations for separate and distinct innovations. Only one nomination per innovation should be submitted.
