Michelle Palmer is the Director of Information Technology Operations and Delivery at The Institutes. Michelle oversees a team of Business Analysts, Project Managers and the IT Service Desk team with a focus on meeting operational excellence across enterprise projects and the larger organization. In her time at The Institutes Michelle has rolled out several business improvement processes which include budget tracking, project portfolio and resource management, as well as a new procurement process to better streamline business requests. She has also implemented and oversees security best practices and risk mitigation within the enterprise IT department and works to continuously improve security policy and awareness across the organization. She serves on the IT Leadership team, works closely supporting our Senior Management Team and has been recognized for her leadership skills, abilities and values by the The Institutes, receiving several awards of recognition. In 2017 Michelle received a Torchbearer award for Work Together, and again in 2019 for Be Innovative and was recognized as Employee of the Year in 2019 with the Culture Champion Award.

The majority of Michelle’s career was spent working as a project manager on large technology projects at companies like Shoedazzle, Universal Music Group, and Farmers Insurance. In addition to her work, Michelle enjoys spending time with her husband, 11 year old son, and their family dog, Murphy. Michelle holds a bachelor's degree from Penn State University.
