Joe Strathman is a dynamic business transformation leader with an extensive portfolio of success driving technology and business operations innovations. Since joining the life insurance business of Transamerica in 2001, Joe has held many roles in technology, operations, and business transformation.

In his current role as a Manager of Business Transformation, Joe is at the forefront of leading strategic transformation initiatives focused on delivering improved agent and customer experiences. Capitalizing on his technical and life insurance operations expertise, Joe is adept at driving ePlatform initiatives and business-to-business integrations with vendors and sales partners.

Prior to his current role, Joe was a Director of New Business Operations, responsible for leading numerous teams that processed inbound life insurance business. Joe was selected to be in the company’s Leadership Development Program where he led growth and cost-reduction initiatives in the Asset Management and Corporate divisions. At the start of his tenure with Transamerica, Joe worked as a technology leader and guided teams responsible for workflow integration, system interfaces, and web application development.

Outside of work, Joe serves on the Board of Directors for Cedar Valley Habitat for Humanity and coaches youth baseball. Previously, Joe participated on the Computer Information Systems Advisory Committee for Kirkwood Community College.

Joe earned his MBA, with distinction, from of The University of Iowa Tippie College of Business.

Residing in Eastern Iowa, Joe is married and has two children.
