Kaori joined MAPFRE in 2016 in the Global Talent Program to deeply understand the functionality of an international insurance company as it is with MAPFRE through three different stages.

She had intensive training at MAPFRE University Centre with focus on knowing and understanding the insurance sector, the Company, the business lines, and training in interpersonal skills, commercial tools, and insurance technical English.

She then transferred to the Regional General Sales Direction of MAPFRE where she rotated throughout different areas of the sub organization and different offices of the Commercial Network. The main objective was to know how the Territorial Organization works and to get first-hand knowledge.

To finalize her training, she went to MAPFRE IBERIA Headquarters to learn about the areas and their functions: Business and Sales, Clients, Marketing, Strategic Planning and Innovation, Distribution Channels, Technical Area, Operations, Call Centers, etc.

After the Program finished, she began her professional career in the Life Insurance Business Development Department for private customers, encouraging the commercial network to promote life insurance products. In this stage, she deeply knew the technical features of products, analyzed the competition, and emphasized the customer’s needs. This position mixed the marketing and commercial part, but it was also very important for her to learn about technical and data analysis in order to monitor business and for the decision-making process.

Kaori's functions then changed to be involved in the strategic projects for the life insurance business, mainly related to Digital Transformation. Tools to boost sales such as a retirement calculator to determine the amount of money you have to save periodically to maintain your quality of life once you get retired or an app where the customers can manage and control their investments in MAPFRE savings products. She is currently continuing to develop projects about digitalization of process with the objective of enhancing the customer and commercial network experience.

By knowing the company from its very different parts has allowed Kaori to have a global vision of the company and make the best decisions for the success and the growth of the company.

Since joining MAPFRE Kaori has a clear motivation to become a future leader and seek further challenges and put herself for continuous improvement and be the best version of herself. In addition to her work, she enjoys spending time running, working out at the gym, yoga, and cultivating her mind through reading, and spending quality time with loved ones.
