Some of the planning consists of developing a 5-year strategy, capital allocation to deliver optimum channel mix, information & analysis led decision-making support, loss ratio management, designing & reviewing distribution compensation models, branch & channel profitability models, competitor models benchmarking, review of DIY or outsourcing models, spend monitoring & identification for procurement, as well as expanding spend management and budgetary controls.

Prior to Aditya Birla Health Insurance, Sandeep was Finance Director at Ornate Infra Holding (P) Ltd, Assistant Vice President of Strategic Planning at AXA Life Insurance Company Limited, Head of Accounts and Taxation with Bharti AXA Life Insurance Company Limited, Assistant Manager MIS and Technical Accounting at Birla Sun Life Insurance Company Ltd, and Manager of Accounts with Nouveau Multimedia Limited.

Received a Bachelor's of Commerce (1998) and certifications as Chartered Accountant (2001), NCM Capital Markets (2002), as well as BSE for Derivatives Exchange (2002).
