Global Centers of Insurance Excellence Designees Announced

New York, New York – May 16, 2019 The International Insurance Society has designated four universities as Global Centers of Insurance Excellence (GCIE) in 2019. The GCIE certification program recognizes outstanding risk management and insurance programs that play an integral role in promoting insurance knowledge and research.  Since the inception in 2017, the program has designated 34 universities across 11 countries.

New York, New York – January 3, 2019:

The International Insurance Society (IIS) has announced Michael Butt OBE, Chairman of Axis Capital, as the 2019 Insurance Hall of Fame Laureate. Mr. Butt will be honored at the June 20th Gala Awards dinner taking place at the IIS Global Insurance Forum at the Shangri-La Singapore, June 18th – 21st.

Global Centers of Insurance Excellence (GCIE) Designees Announced

Nine universities will be designated by the International Insurance Society as Global Centers of Insurance Excellence (GCIE) in 2018.  In total, the program has recognized 29 programs from 10 countries.

Shuzo Sumi Named to the International Insurance Society Insurance Hall of Fame

The International Insurance Society (IIS) has announced Shuzo Sumi, Chairman of the Board of Tokio Marine Holdings, as the 2018 Insurance Hall of Fame Laureate. Mr. Sumi will be honored at the July 9th gala awards dinner taking place at the IIS Global Insurance Forum at the InterContinental Hotel in Berlin, Germany, July 8th – 11th.
