New York, New York – Sept. 23, 2021: The International Insurance Society (IIS) has named Lars Schmid of Allianz Ayudhya the 2021 RGA Leaders of Tomorrow award winner for Dynamic Pricing in a Fast-Changing World, a paper detailing the metrics of dynamic pricing and how it can be used in fast moving situations that challenge traditional pricing approaches. Honorable mentions include Jade Baggs of AXA Group for her paper titled The Future of Insurance and Genomic Underwriting and Claims and Na Re Seo of Kyobo Life Insurance Co. for her paper on Pet Insurance.
Reinsurance Group of America, Incorporated (RGA), a leading global life and health reinsurer, is a 2021 Global Insurance Forum Gold partner and the sponsor of the RGA Leaders of Tomorrow program. The program is designed to motivate a select group of insurance professionals to follow a leadership trajectory. Through mentorship from senior executives and access to their cross-sector networks, the program stimulates creative thinking on strategic issues, provides opportunities for deeper engagement across core business functions, and expands global peer connections.
"Developing future leaders is a key focus across the global insurance industry, so it is our responsibility to invest in talent," said Josh Landau, President of IIS. He adds, "recognizing this as a priority for our entire industry, we’re proud to partner with RGA on the RGA Leaders of Tomorrow program, which nurtures and distinguishes those who have been identified as the industry’s most promising professionals."
Since inception in 2015, the RGA Leaders of Tomorrow program has included a total of 57 candidates from 15 countries. As part of the program, mentees publish and present original papers during a closed session of top tier global insurance executives who serve as mentors for the program. This year, a select group of the 2021 RGA Leaders of Tomorrow candidates will be featured at the virtual Global Insurance Forum on September 27-29.
The participants of the RGA Leaders of Tomorrow program represent the industry’s finest talent. This includes a c-suite body of mentors from leading insurance organizations.
